We Believe In The Gospel

We believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is true, cover to cover. Below you will find some of the specific scriptures relating to what we believe in different areas.  If you are not familiar with the Bible and would like us to answer any questions, all you have to do is ask.

God

We believe that God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). These three are co-equal and are one God. (Gen. 1:1, 26, 27; Exodus 3:14; Numbers 23:19; Leviticus 11:44-45, 19:2; Psalm 11:4-6, 90:2; Malachi 3:6; Matthew 28:19; John 3:16; 4:24; 5:26; 14:1; Acts 17:28; Romans 3:3-4 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Cor. 13:14)

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God to have a relationship with Him, but we are all separated from that relationship because of sin. As a result, man is totally incapable of having a relationship with God by their own efforts. (Gen. 1:27; Ps. 8:3-6; Is. 53:6a; Rms. 3:23; Is. 59:1,2; Genesis 1:26-30; 2:7, 18-22; 3; Psalms 8:3-6; 32:1-5; 51:5; Isaiah 6:5; Jeremiah 17:5; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 1:19-32; 3:10-18, 23; 5:6; 6:6; 7:14-25; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31; 15:19, 21-22; Ephesians 2; Colossians 1:21-22; 3:9-11)

Eternal Security

We believe that because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace of God that gives this security. (Jn. 10:28, 29; 2 Tim. 1:12; Heb. 7:25, 10:10, 14; 1 Peter 1:3-5)

If you are here today, but have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone for your salvation, we would like to invite you to do that today. Right here, right now.

Just pray and invite Jesus to come into your life:
“Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I have done things wrong in my life. But today I come back to you and ask you to forgive me of my sin, to come into my life, and be my leader and forgiver. Today I place all my faith and all my trust in you. Come into my life, change me, and make me a brand new person. Amen.”

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9

The Bible

We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were guided by the Holy Spirit to write every word of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error and is the basis for all Christian beliefs and behavior. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Tim. 1:13; Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)

Salvation

We believe that God the Father sent His son, Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and that His shed blood provides the sole basis for our forgiveness. Therefore, salvation can only occur when people place their faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the complete payment for their sins. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts (Romans. 6:23; Eph. 2:8,9; Jn. 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Gal. 3:26; Rms. 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22).

The Gospel

We believe the gospel was a real event in history where Jesus died, was buried, and rose again to save us from sin and death and give us an opportunity to spend eternity in Heaven because of the forgiveness
of our sins through faith in Jesus’ complete payment on the cross. We believe the gospel not only has the power to save us, but also the power to enable us to live a life of godliness according to the purpose God has for us. (Romans 1:16; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Galatians 3:13-14; Ephesians 2:4-9; Colossians 2:13-14; 1 Peter 2:22-25; 2 Peter 1:3)
